What does /g/ think of the XPS 13? Is it the best ultrabook out there?

>Kaby Lake dual core i7 at 2.7Ghz
>3200x1800 IPS screen
>smaller and thinner than 13" memebook pro
>USB-A and USB-C
>SD card reader
>8GB LPDDR3
>256GB SSD
>Integrated graphics

Dell Inspirons cost the same, have better specs and don't look like a plastic piece of junk.
>>
>carbon fiber and aluminum
>>

Pretty much best ultrabook out there. Seriously can't find anything better. I wouldn't buy it because I think ultrabooks are retarded but if someone really wants one then this is it.

You're also forgetting that it has intel's flagship iris+ HD iGPU (700-800 GFLOPS). I mean it isn't an Rx 580 (5,800 GFLOPS) but it's still better than the shitty "HD" graphics intel used to have that had less than 100 GFLOPS.

Also that HEVC/VP9 8-10 bit decoding is pretty dope.

If you were in the market for a 15" laptop, and budget weren't an issue, what would you pick? The XPS 15 has QA issues.
>>
>not a workstation
>$1,000+ for a Windows machine
>$1,000+ to run Windows

Ultrabooks are for fucking faggot numales. Let this dogshit trend fuck off. Why the fuck do I keep seeing this ugly weird looking laptop shilled on here all the time.
>>
>>60239543
They just work
>>
>>60239534
Shit dude if budget wasn't an issue then I would go for a maxed out 4c/8t i7-7700HQ + mobile GTX 1050 XPS 15. The 97Wh battery alone would be a huge upgrade desu. It would replace the need for a desktop for like a decade.

They give you a warranty anyway so you can bitch at them if there's ever any QA problems.

Best 13 inch """ultrabook""", but 13 inch laptops are shit anyway. People who aren't manlets need to hunch over the tiny screen and find the keyboards cramped. Get an xps 15 instead, dual core laptops are unusable.
>>
>>60239918
>dual core laptops are unusable
Says the gaymen faggot.

>2017
>looking for quad on laptops
>>
>>60239394
overpriced. 1700 configured to those specs. you can get a 4k thinkpad with 2 pcie SSDs for that
>>
>>60239515
>best ultrabook out there
but thinkpad 470s and elitebooks exist

Then again it runs pretty hot.

that dock is really nicely integrated with the laptop.

I have an XPS 13, really enjoy mine. Most complaints I see are about coil whine, but I haven't experienced that personally

where's her breasts and female characteristics?

I don't fucking get female sports. they all look like men and for all I know they're all trannies.

I really like it but I have a 15.
Guess I never really had another high end laptop before this but it feels really comfy and soft.

It uses a U series 620 "HD" graphics (700 series igpus don't exist in consumer laptops yet)
>>60240253
This. Without memes, the HP Spectre is objectively better than the XPS 13 (the normal one or the weaker 2-in-1 XPS)
>>
Dude, you're getting
>shitty pajeet-level support
>shitty ass Dell drivers

Nothing like a good ole Dell. Pieces of garbage

gonna steal the thread...

Should I consider this for 1199€ (german price) or should I get a desktop PC homebuilt with similar specs? (1050ti + Pentium g4560)
I have to buy a screen and peripherals too, so I come pretty close to the dell price.
>>
>>60247163

Wish the Spectre 15 had a Geforce 1050 and a 7700HQ, it's half the performance of the XPS 15.
>>
>>60246721
there are xps 13s with "iris" 640 graphics which are quite a bit better
only other laptops where you can get those are macbooks afaik
>>
>>60239918
The XPS 13 and XPS 15 has the same keyboard
But I'll agree that the "extra portability" between a 13" laptop and 15" isn't worth losing the screen size
>>
>>60244783
Probably because biking is a shit load of cardio so her body has a very low fat percentage.
Boobs are made of fat, so you can probably piece together the rest.
>>
>>60239534
You mean QC issues

Also the xps 15 is completely retarded. Hp have a Pavillion that's identical specs for 70% of the price. Marginally larger. Identical weight.

It may not be as "nice" but seriously who the fuck buys fashion computers with a big ass dell logo?
>>
>>60250700
Which processor and which XPS?
I don't remember seeing any 630 or 640 on the standard U series or the laughable Y series they put on the XPS 2-in-1. The only CPU that comes with 640 standard are the ones that are probably 15" only
>>
