Is this worth using even though Microsoft is doing whatever it can to block/defeat its best OS since XP?

Idk, I guess, fuck
Software companies want to resell you the same shit over and over again each year.

If it supports your hardware why not? It's still supported for a short while now I suppose, keep using it until your hardware doesn't work with it/it becomes too dangerous to use to due to unpatched security flaws etc, at which point you might want to consider Linux until Microsoft learns that they can't get away with their W10 b.s.
>>60227808
No it isn't. Just install Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB and enjoy everything new compared to the W7 while having the same privacy/updating choices as in the W7.

Many such cases! This board needs to change, NOW

Yes. At least there's less shit to disable in Windows 7 than there is shit to disable in 10.

Education version was the best until MS included Cortana in it this past month.

Aren't you able to get rid of Cortana in the Education version?

Do you have those Windows 7 update links that are commonly posted here on /g/?

I have 10 Enterprise right now but with the 10 S coming out, I don't want to be forced into something. I don't trust Microsoft. I would love to go back to Linux but it's not right for a desktop right now.
>>60227929
Exactly why I want to go back, but it's been years since I was last on 7 so I don't know what changed, which is the point of this thread

You can actually get a Windows 7 ISO from the official Microsoft Windows 10 ISO page using a JavaScript hack (or you could download a .txt file containing the script).

It's a pretty good photoshop abstraction layer for Linux.
