I have a good few thousand images and was thinking of using Hydrus (https://hydrusnetwork.github.io/hydrus/) but the developer uses git like a pleb and he writes his code differently to how I would write mine.
Does anybody here actually use it, does it work?
Alternatives?
Also, anybody thought of any interesting tagging patterns.

I've used it before. It works, but it feels pretty bad to use(very non-native), and it also duplicates all of your images into it's own folder that you can't really navigate yourself.
I feel like I'm trying to convince myself to use it. It's really hard to browse my pictures by this point but if it's an unstable piece of shit I'll kick myself for getting in bed with it.

It was so bad I started making my own alternative, although I haven't been working on it lately.
I was actually going to implement the features I wanted in hydrus and submit a pull request, but the code was so bad I gave up.

I'd like to have alternatives too. I have too many pics and WebM ...

Is it better now? How long ago are we talking?

What do you mean by non-native?
>sorting pics
>not dumping all images and webms into one 45gb folder

But, how do you find that specific JAV you require to get off - I don't have time to scroll through 130k of images and webums

macOS has tagging by default, and it's very well integrated into the whole system

You can subscribe to booru searches now, but I don't think it supports scraping tags. I tested this a few months ago.
The dev is the same, so the code is probably as shit as it was when I looked at it.
