They have a really shitty marketing team and nobody at the company seems interested in fixing the problem (e.g. firing the shitty marketing team)

Jesus, the stuff they produce as advertisements are just cringeworthy as fuck. They have basically zero guerrilla marketing presence, have no idea what is funny, don't understand social media, have absolutely no grasp on counter culture; it's like "Hey fellow kids" taken to the next level of cringe.

Nvidia and Intel beat the fuck out of AMD in the market almost literally because they have better marketing.

I remember people saying(including intel fans) that if Ryzen has sandy-ivy bridge IPC with 8 cores it will be a very good CPU.
In the end Ryzen was very close to Broadwell in IPC and somehow it is "a big let down".
