Searched the catalog and it wasn't active. Show me yours!

I cleaned up the cabling the best that I could and added a cheapo remote-controled LED controller + LED strip. Most of the cable spaghetti is hidden below the mobo tray with the side panel.

I'll clarify, the fan on the back is indeed blowing air out of the case, functioning as an exhaust fan.
The fans on the bottom are intake fans.

As you can see the rear of the bottom fans is facing inside the case and the rear of the fan on the back is facing the outside of the case.

be careful m8. the corsair aio mount was designed for socket am3, not am4. it does work, but it won't be a perfect fit. what i mean, if you don't line it up center to much pressure can be on one side. causing code 08 error, cpu not detected.

here's my guts, fight me
waiting on new psu, then will be sleeving the cables, thinking about sewing them, also considering just making cables and routing along the bottom of the motherboard bundled like conduit rather than messing with the lack of cable management options in the back
>>60213986
like the nano, why that though? seems like a waste with all the extra space you have. not much you can do but maybe try to manage cables better.
>>60215387
I love the build, you could try to manage cables a bit better, glad to see you have a fan over the vrm. I like that you like to live dangerously with no hose clamps
>>60216012
get a comb on that 24 pin, probably dont need the fan above your cpu cooler honestly, maybe give it a test with temps
>>60216209
clean, looks good, do the cables yourself? other than that only gripe is it looks like negative pressure, i would change that around.
>>60217041
other than the cable management which we talked about not much you can do still like the nanoxia
>>60217183
your fan situation triggers the fuck out of me. also noctua not best rad fans, get you some gentle typhoons
>>60217208
still dig the stickers, ordered some off the link you gave me
take a picture inside the case, looks good from what i can see though, maybe dremmel a hole in the psu shroud for a cleaner gpu cable routing, other than that all you can do is go with sleeved cables from what i see famalam
>>60217786
nice and clean, for fucks sake though at least take the damn gpu stand out for pictures, psu a little overkill whats the story there? also you can probably take the fans out of the top with little impact to temps, also no more negative pressure then. is that the mastercase or whatever it's called?
>>60217882
as always like the rig
>crosshair v bros
>>60218399
damn looks nice my man. get a nice cooler like a h7 or true spirit 140 smack it on there and you're good to go, maybe snip the end off of the gpu cables if you're committed or change that somehow
continuing
>>
>>60224223
Not bad but I'm sure you can re-route the CPU 8-pin and the top fan cable in a more efficient way.

The fan cable particularly might need and extension cord (pennies on ebay) but I think you could route it through the back side to below the GPU (where the HD audio front panel is connected) and pass it under the GPU through the gap between the bracket and the actual PCIe slot.

The 8-pin CPU cable could be easily hidden behind the fan instead of hanging in front of it unless it's extremelty tight.
>>
>>60225679
Thanks m8, I might look into aftermarket coolers later on, this one is kinda hot (idle at 40 degrees seems lot desu). I might tuck that 6 pin non-modular cable in the shield and just go with the modular cable instead of snipping it. Btw, how the temps on your machine?
>>

>>60219014
same as always, tuck gpu cable under 24 pin and get your lights to be the same color, we've been over fans so do what you do
>>60220379
looks good, combs though, could also cut a hole in the bottom for gpu cables
>>60221301
>locked i5
>r5 exists
but seriously looks ok for mid range build, could cut a hole in the bottom for better gpu cable management, other than that at least bundle them together
>>60222538
what monstrosity is that case? didnt know corsair had a case in the inverted atx form factor. also manage your damn cables, why do they come out earlier than they need too, loose stray cables? get your shit squared away
>>60223425
>red gpu
>red mobo accent
>blue case fans
also real hard to rate if i cant see in your case
>>60224223
cable work looks ok, see if you cant tuck cpu power away a bit more, snug it up. also take gpu power and get it unfucked, as in put it under usb 3 connection
>>
>>60225744
>manage your damn cables, why do they come out earlier than they need too, loose stray cables? get your shit squared away
fine; I'll tear it down tomorrow
600Q
>>
>>60225708
a lot of times it'll look better if you use the first connector in the wire and bundle the second underneath. i just use a wire tie or something like the twist tie from a loaf of bread to secure it under. if you havea modular cable that would work too. yeah, something like a true spirit direct 140 or h7 is gonna give you a ton of bang for your buck. both are like 50 bucks and both perform within like 3c of something like a nh-d15
temps are amazing. compared to my r5 temps on the cpu dropped 10-13c or so, and thats with taking one fan off the cpu cooler. currently got the 8350 at 4.6 with 1.32v full load IBT at 54c low fan setting, gonna try to push it further soon. GPU it's hard to say, in my R5 I had a fury x and that card running at the same time, as well as the tv tuner and nic so it was pretty tight, and that card has literally the worst cooling I've ever seen on a midrange card. That said temps dropped something in the range of 10-15c and fan speed came down 15-20%
the raven/fortress series aint no joke, they mean fucking business.
>>
>>60225758
not trying to shit on your build just pointing that stuff out. quickest way to clean up a build is to show less cables, only really worth showing off anyway if you have sleeved cables
>>
>>60225797
nah it's cool; I don't have a clear side, so I don't care about the feng shui, but I don't want dust collecting and a high temp / air flow issue if I can avoid it
>>
>>60225811
nothing is wrong enough with your build to cause any of those problems, it really is more of a looks/feels nice kind of thing
>>
>>60225679
>like the nano, why that though?
Got it early last year on clearance at ~GTX980 price to drive the new 1440p@144Hz Freesync monitor I got when the old one stopped working. No ragrets.

When I bought this case I was rocking a ridiculously big 280X Tri-X, sold it at a very good price when I got the Nano too.

How do people get such good cable management?

Can you buy simple third party cables that don't have all the additional bullshit and crap on them? Like a single 8 pin for the video card, instead of 1 6 pin/2 pin, or 2 4 pins?
>>
>>60225917
There are such cables, but you must be extremely careful and only buy those designed for your PSU. Otherwise you wouldn't be the first to fry their stuff.
>>
>>60225880
fair enough, i was just wondering since the prices have been so low on fury x lately
>>
>>60215944
>>60225679
I did cable manage the old p55 a few weeks ago, first time since 2005 and second time ever.

Then two days ago when I needed the psu and gpu for the Zen build I remembered why I never cable manage. Spend extra time putting it toghether, just to spend even more extra time taking it apart..

Never again.

>>60219243
>>60223021

Case is less than a year old ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But no. I really want it smaller, but to get that there is too much compromise for me.
>>
>>60227748
realistically with the water cooling and airflow not being much of a concern you could get away with some zip or twist ties and just bundling like conduit, would still be easy to take apart and only like an extra 5-10 min to do.
my 2 cents

>>
>>60228038
why is your gpu cable routed through an ssd mount?
on another note, I'm actually impressed you managed the cables out of the psu with the hdd cage so close, why the hell did you mount it so close?
also, why is the psu mounted facing up? you're pulling hot air off the gpu for one, and possibly starving the gpu for air, beyond that you're also making your case negative pressure.
>>
>>60228111
that's raw, i like it. it used to be that you had to do it that way, until corsair decided that they wanted to make more money. Still the better way to do it imo, just make sure you put some heatsinks on the vrm and keep some airflow across the card
also, move that rad to top position and use it as an intake, your cpu temps should be fine if not dial back oc, having only exhaust in that case along side the psu pulling air out is doing you absolutely 0 favors with that case
>>
>>60228134
I dont plan to fall for the ssd meme so i put it though there.
>>
>>60228185
>fall for the ssd meme

>>
>>60223171
Literally best company
>>
>>60219014
What purpose of the RAM cooler , just for the look?
>>
>>60228167
Yeah, you're definately right about changing the position/airflow of the rad, the CPU is a 4770k @4Ghz(pretty much does everything I want at 4Ghz so I left it at that) that maxes out at 70 on a non synthetic 100% load so there is definately room to have more hot air passing through that area.

The card has been doing fine without VRM heatsinks so far but I should get on fixing that ticking timebomb asap, does anyone have a link to the stickier glue-esque thermal paste used for putting heatsinks on vrm chips? I remember seeing somebody mention it in a gpu cooler video once but don't know what to google. A link to some decent heatsinks would be appreciated too, I've only been able to find short, wimpy looking Chinese ones which don't look very effective.

What vcore you at to get that stable?
me btw: >>60215387

My 1700 is definitely 4ghz capable, but damn mobo doesnt have loadline calibration in the bios, and the voltage drops insane during load.

I set 1.375vcore, idle it reads 1.41v, then under load it drops to fucking 1.31v!

This means I have to set well over 1.4v to get 1.35+ under loads, and that will give me 1.5v+ idle vcore.

That is bullshit.

Waiting for Vega edition. Even if Vega is nothing more than 1070 performance, I'm still going to be on it. Just thinking of that performance + Freesync panel gets me tingly.

How's that Prime unit treating you? Do you think it's worth it?
>>
>>60236000
Very well so far. Only around 3 months old now. Only cost me $110 from microcenter. My old unit was a cooler Master V1000. It's SATA trees started dying on me to the point where the PC would require 2-3 attempts to actually make it to grub boot menu. Figured time to get rid of it before it dies and takes my drive with it.

Looking around at reviews, and the titanium prime units are getting 4 stars everywhere and even JohnnyGuru gave it a 10/10 which is rare.

Thinking about going Vega and then in the fall picking up an nvme drive. I really want Ryzen but it's a high refresh PC which is pretty much the best reason to use sky/kabylake but at the same time I can't buy a 7700k and not hate myself.
>>

>>60236376
You should, a great buy worth the money. For reference, my PC has been at 100% full tilt for the last 2 weeks with all 16 threads working. No hiccups at all. My V1000 used to develop a coil whine after the first day. This Seasonic barely has to kick on it's cooling fan.

seeing all these ryzen builds in this thread really makes me happy seeing how many people are pleased with what amd did with ryzen.

really proves the notion that a lot of people just wanted a good all around performing processor for the price.
>>
>>60237805
I was waiting on AMD. I only went Intel out of necessity because even my 5.2ghz fx-9370 was getting stomped in gaming by a stock i5. All while consuming 350w and acting as a space heater. As soon as I saw Ryzen being capable of hih single core with even higher multi core than before, they had me sold. unless Ryzen gen 2 is an amazing bump in performance, or they damn near double the core count, I'll be with my 1700X for a good while.
>>
>>60235880
also waiting on vega, currently on 480, main card is usually fury x, waiting on RMA for psu, however fury x will have to be ghetto rigged in place in new case, so wanting to sell that. Would like to stay amd, but the deals on used 980ti are getting sweeter and sweeter

>deals on 980ti
Yea, piss poor DX12 capabilities aside, the 980ti is still a solid card. My classified model will do 1600mhz on the core while in boost, and +850mhz to the memory with only +50mv. Still pushes 60fps in all major titles at 1440p so no complaints. Really hoping Vega is good though. Be nice to go back to an all red PC like back in my fx-9370 and r9 290X xfire days. Except this time with less heat, power consumption, and shit CPU performance in gaming.

That 9370 @ 5.2ghz was an encoding monster though lemme tell you. 35GB encodes in minutes.
>>
>>60238033
Still rocking my 8350, at around 4.7 or so. Honestly for the games I play the 980ti is plenty, hardest game to run I regularly play is the witcher 3, a title more or less owned by Nvidia, so a 980ti with a fat oc for 300 sounds great
290x crossfire too, I feel the pain. I had a 295x2 for a while, beast of a card.
>>
>>60237988
Not him but it's push pull config. Typically lowers Temps another 2-3c or possibly more on aio, can be much more on custom. Best benefit with high dpi fins or thick rads
>>
>>60238078
I got greedy on my 9370 and was pushing for 5.3ghz. was playing with stable voltages and kept failing. On a cmos reset after a failed OC, I forgot to re-enable load line calibration and went for another go at 5.3ghz. board voltage boosted to 2.4v to compensate and I popped a voltage regulator. Was on a 990fx sabertooth too. The fact that I broke a board prompted me to go Intel. Glad AMD stepped it up since then.

Although it did give me an excuse to get a bitching custom liquid loop. Having one now is pointless for me seeing as my 989ti only hits 72C while gaming and my 1700X CPU only hits 62C even when encoding for literal days on end on a single tower, single fan cooler.
>>
>>60237988
I use them for push pull
lowered my temps around 6 Celsius, I live in commiefornia so it gets hot, fan power is needed
>>
>>60238142
yeah. I had wanted to go full custom for a long ass time, but it's a lot of work and a lot of money, locks you into hardware to some extent, so I just gave in and got an excellent case for air cooling. Very happy and I'm sure once I move on up to a r7 system I'll be all the more pleased
>>
>>60238179
Shit even a move to an 1500X would be a step up. 8 thread to 8 thread. Don't get me wrong, shoot for a 1600/1700X if you have the money. But if money is tight, the 1500X is a solid performer. Stay away from the 1400 like the plague though. And make sure to get fast ram. Ryzen loves the fast ram.
>>
>>60238215
I know, I've been doing the research since day 1. believe it or not /biz/ has been making me good money, although 90% of that is going to tuition right now, in about 2 weeks though I'll go back to working full time and in about a month or so I should be able to upgrade, 1700, 16gb 3200, maybe even cas 14, looking at an asus prime x370 pro, simply because I may need more than 2 16x slots. other than that the rest of the parts will just migrate and eventually I hope to throw a nice sized m.2 in there for some of my production work.
I may consider the 1500x though, could pawn it off later and make some cash
>>
>>60238347
Clean budget build and I like the colors. What video card is that? Also
>single channel ram

C'mon man step it up. Also what case is that?
>>
>>60238215
>>60238359
I will add though as dumb as it sounds I would like the upgrade to have some more horsepower for streaming. I'd really like to do some more of that, although I guess the 8350 would be a bomb chip for that as a standalone streaming rig
I actually dont know if performance would be better on chip or offloaded to the 8350...
>>
>>60238347

In that case get the 1600. Only $30 more than the 1500X. Comes with a cooler unlike the 1500X/1600X. It's 12 threads and you can OC to an easy 3.4ghz on the stock cooler. Having a power hungry 8350 build for the sole purpose of a streaming machine passthrough isn't worth it. As a dedicated encoding machine maybe. This way your main machine is locked up for hours while encoding. Otherwise don't bother.

Best part about Ryzen is you can always upgrade to the big boy 1800X in the future if you buy it used for cheap. No motherboard swap needed.

>>60238791
Yes it only has one fan, it was never meant for big graphics cards. The 560 Ti runs on 90+° but baking repaired it. I guess its baking itself now so I don't need to put it in the oven again.
>>60238805
This is a temporary solution, I think of getting another case. I'll also put my CX500M into it once I have a new PSU for my primary build, and a SSD.

This PSU isn't as bad as it looks, I expected it to explode, but it will just turn off when I put too much load on it. It handled my old Phenom X4 940 (125W) and the 560 Ti downclocked to 500 MHz (~150W) fine. 12 V says 268W max.

I'm currently running a Pentium G and will replace it by a i5-3550 next week, these CPUs consume much less.

Why? It's a normal negative air pressure setup, what's the problem? Also, the two fans on the bottom are not on the ground, there is a gap between the feet of his case and the surface it's on, which allows air to be pulled from. Heat rises. What's the issue?

I don't think you are very capable of discerning what is stupid and what isn't seeing as you couldn't even identify which way a fan is drawing air from without help, tbqh.
