I might get hate for this but after moving to edge I Uninstaller every other browser bloat and it runs so fast integrated with the OS its like safari on a Mac but much better

Shit is fast as fuck, uses little to no resources (HD Youtube videos take up less than 5% cpu).

You could try Russian botnet called Yandex Browser. At least it doesn't go to NSA. I got an email there at Yandex for the same reason and because it allows you to link it with a domain for free. Yandex is a sort of Google analog there.

But the problem is the websites you visit, not only the browser. Is the traffic unencrypted so anyone between you and server can see the traffic? Is the website sharing the data with anyone?

You could get something like a VM, install Windows and a VPN and use Chrome there. For bonus points, you can configure VM/Windows to stop traffic unless VPN is connected. Another route is Tor.
