What is the point? If you want something this locked down why not get a tablet instead?
If you don't why not get an actual laptop?

I wouldnt be surprised if the screen is worse. Resolution isnt everything and Macbook is a nice IPS. Even if Surface is IPS too not all screens are equal.

But anyway this thing is newer so I lol at even comparing to an old macbook

Because it's there when you need it, that's why. A whole lot of laptops let you switch between the IGP and the dGPU so the dGPU doesn't actually use any battery most of the time and it gives you a big advantage when you need that extra graphics power.

why don't you just get a desktop computer for playing games instead
and to that I have to admit I don't know why, but the simple truth is that the majority buy laptops as their main/only computer even if it will be sitting at the exact same spot on the exact same desk it's entire lifetime.

I have a 10" tablet and a 6.5" 'phone' tablet that I got as a replacement for my 7" tablet. I use that 6.5" phablet all the time. I rarely use the 10". It's just too big for any situation where isn't not better to just use the 15.6" laptop. 6.5-7" is perfect. 12-13" isn't. I don't care if a 13" screen is detachable, not even a little. That's too big for a tablet anyway.

Laptops with touchscreens suffer from speed issues and the touchscreens are unresponsive. Photoshop sounds intuitive with touch controls, but it's not. Also holy shit they have to make the UI so fucking ugly for you to press the buttons with your pudgy manchild fingers.

I do, that's why i settled for a cheapo 2in1 atom for now. I don't need to "hand" the whole keyboard unit to clients during business or shit talk meeting or i can just detach it into the rest room stall and stall in there for an hour until my boss leaves.
