What are you're tech tools you have on hand? I have a few Leatherman(pic related, most recent buy) and a cybertool Sak. Also keep a janky USB soldering iron on hand, and a few ifixit screwdriver sets and tweezers.

What does /g/ keep in their laptop bags?

>USB soldering iron

How well does it work? USB can do 2.1 A with 5V so you can get like 10 watts out of it? can that even work for a soldering iron?

Also, I've been wating to get a leatherman signal multitool for a while but I'm short on cash atm
>>
Phillips and flathead screwdrivers are all I need bruh

Also a multi meter
>>

It's fine for very small jobs. All I've used it for so far is putting a new battery on a gameboy game(pokemon red)

Don't get the signal. It's junk. If you're cheap, sidekick. If you want something to last a long time, wave. Best value? Rebar.

Thanks for the advice. I've been wanting a more (portable) soldering iron for field repairs and stuff on my multirotor but not sure about usb irons
>>
>>60200888
What do you ever use the leathermans for on a PC? The pliers are way too big.

I'm being baited aren't I?

USB soldering irons are a thing.

5W isn't great but it is enough if you aren't soldering things with a large amount of mass behind them to dissipate heat.

Leatherman pliers on the older tools are pretty small.

Why are you suspicious of USB irons? Obviously they're not gonna be good for heavy projects, but if its just doing some high gauge wiring, or surface mount shit, its alright.

>lit duty alrternative is perfectly suitable for the kind of work he intends to use it for
>must be a chinaman and shit handyman

Excellent logic you got there friend

Leatherman is nice. Ive bought allen wrenches, files, a mallet, and some tourqe dtivers from stanly for working on my guns. All the tools worked well

Heres my screwdriver set i have on me 24/7. Its kind of a chink-copy of the swisstool bit driver except its a bit cheaper and the bit selection is more useful.

I don't find the need to hack job solder.

Yup, for multi-bit drivers, theres no question. Canadian-made too!
I'm gonna pick up a multique next time i'm at walmart(I know, its odd, but they're the only place i can find that stocks them in my city)
