Its the maymay of the century;its popular, easy to learn, supported pretty much everywhere and its fast. Theres nothing wrong with using PHP.

It has some well known caveats and inconsistencies however is a very solid and fast for writing just about anything.

Especially PHP7, theres just so much to like about it.
