That's looks like an overly complex way of calculating CIDR netmasks

>>

tmrw is my exam so last time hopefully
>>
>>60195126
keep watching Dans courses I just gave you the beginning. I'm not going to be able to explain VLSM design in one post dude.
>>
>>60193986
Are you one of those fucking faggots in my class who barely understand how subnetting works?
>>
>>60195472
i think i understood it,

mask 24=256 addresses, 4 Lans= 256/4=64= mask 26
>>
>>60194001
VLSM subnetting
>>
>>60194001
An overly complicated way of visualizing VLSM.
>>
>>60195786
Oh wow. Brain dead OP figured out that different subnet masks support a different number of hosts. What will he figure out next? They support a different amount of networks?
>>
>>60196472
i just needed to know WHY 24 changes to 26

>>60196439
could you possibly link me less complicated way please?
>>
>>60196665
/24 = 2x /25 networks
/25 = 2x /26 networks

So one /24 network can be subnettet to 4 /26 subnets...
>>
Ahh the days of my CCNA2/3 class.
Where we went over subneting for 5 weeks.
And at the end of the first week, I could subnet out class A networks for given client sizes in my fucking head.
>>
>>60195345
Fuck you I hope you fail. We don't need more "network experts" that don't fucking know what they are doing.

I got to watch two technicians sent out to fix a problem with their shit on our network, and then had to defend our Cisco switch and explain that they fucked up their vlans or something.
They just stood around staring at random pings and some vendor specific device finder until someone fixed it remotely.

If you're truly learning this in high school. They would have taught you math and how binary works before this. VLSM should be natural to you.
>>
>>60198672
Can confirm. In italy wee did this in the american equivalent of 11th grade.

You know, I felt a little intimidated a couple days ago about taking the CCNA, but now that I know retards like OP can't even do subnetting right, I feel a lot more confident. Thanks OP.
>>
>>60200318
i have no reason to know it, no clue why the fuck they include this bullshit in curriculum, this is for people who play WoW and are virgins at 25 not normal people
