Yeah, sadly it went out of production years ago. Shame, it's a wonderful mousepad.
I reckon it shouldn't be that difficult or expensive to have one made, though. It's just a simple sheet of hardened glass with a frosted surface on the mouse side. More expensive than an ordinary mousepad of course, but you'd never have to replace it 'cause it'll never get worn from moving a mouse around on it.

Glass is generally a harder material than aluminium, though it's also more brittle. It's harder to scratch glass, but aluminium isn't prone to shattering if you drop it onto a hard surface.
As far as scratches go, glass holds up better. But if you like to throw your mousepad at things, aluminium is better at surviving that kind of abuse.

The keyboard version actually has the same keys as the minilogue which I really love so I'd go for that

Left - U2312HM
It's a good monitor. Solid colours and contrast, but its matte coating is a little too aggressive and as a result it can look a little "dirty" when looking at bright images. It doesn't have HDMI input. It does have a fully powered USB 2.0 hub with 4 ports.

Middle - U2414H
Also a good monitor, though it is defective by design. Its matte coating is less aggressive than that on the U2312HM, making the monitor appear cleaner. Similar colour reproduction and contrast ratio, though.
As for being defective by design, its issues are that 1) it is detected as a TV by graphics drivers, even when using Displayport. Because of this it defaults to limited RGB range, though it's easily fixed by simply flipping the option to full range in your graphics driver, and 2) Displayport daisychaining. It either won't do it or is extremely finnicky about it. Do NOT buy a U2414H if you intend to use this feature.
It has 4 USB 3.0 ports, one of which supplies more power than normal for faster charging. Good for charging your phone and whatnot, though that specific port died on me for some reason.

Right - P2211H
Pretty standard TN monitor. It's good at being a TN monitor. Viewing angles and colour reproduction are both fine, though not as good as the other two. It has two fully powered USB 2.0 ports.

As far as which one is best goes, I'd say U2414H despite its flaws. If you want reviews, check out tftcentral.

When you put a rug under a rolling chair, especially one that might weigh over 50 pounds, you kind of have to expect it to be very matted very quickly/have it be kind of disposable, chairs tear them up.

A rug with a low pile height (short fibers) will hold up better. A rug pad will help it from sliding and bunching up when it's new. If you've got a vacuum with a rotary brush, go over the rug at least a few times a month, get the fibers unmatted. My rug needs a ton of maintenance as the fibers are in narrow rows. Getting one with a typical pattern will be fine as long as you 'groom' it.

$1000 is a great sweet spot for guitars. Left is an ESP LTD B-5E, right is a Yamaha TRBX174EW. $650 and $220 new.

Speaking of $1000, I'm looking at getting a Lakland Skyline 44-64 P/J for around $900 used. G&L also has Fender-ish basses.

I would highly suggest trying out as many as you can to see what feels good playing. Try out dozens if you can. That's what's important, way more so than looks and sound to some degree. If you're new to bass and can't play a whole lot, just get a feel of the shape of the neck, try reaching some higher notes. See how well the tuners work, if they're smooth or gritty. Wail on the strings, see if they come out of tune. Look for good fit and finish on the frets, don't want sharp edges on the frets or on the nut. When looking used, keep in mind that it's probably got some dents, but it should sound/play exactly the same. Anything else is a big red flag. Obscure/custom-ish brands will be much cheaper buying used compared to something traditional/recognizable.

If it's your first bass, you can't go wrong with either a traditional Fender P or J bass. I know that's the typical answer, but they're used in pretty much any genre. An American Standard is around $1150 new, $1000ish used. Regardless of if it's Made in Japan/Mexico/America, it will be useful, especially as a starter/backbone of collection. What you'll end up wanting to get, frankly, is something you know you'll want to play. It could just be the look of it that you really enjoy, but if it's enough to keep you playing, then you made the right choice.
