If it helps, almost everyone on /g/ would agree with you that the modern methods of student testing are rubbish, especially when it comes to programming. Unfortunately, proper tests for programming require intelligence on the part of the examiner, and we all know exactly how abundant intelligence is in modern academia.

I'm an adult in school at 24 everyone else is 18 so that frustrates me but aside from that the only CS teacher is a woman. Our first semester logic class she assigned this god awful book that - shocker - was also written by a woman. Last week she took a whole class to show us a video about the "gender gap" in software development jobs or some shit.
Today they had a list of potential graduates posted in a few spots on campus. There is only one person on it from a computer major.
