I had a rockboxed ipod nano 2nd gen, shit was cash but upgraded to a sansa clip+ because the nano only had 8gb of space. The my sansa got nigged and forgot about rockbox.

Now that there's a new version after 4 years, I wanna rockbox a new music player but I don't know which one should I get, used sansas are really expensive. From the rockbox supported models, which ones support micro sd cards?

Well my phone automatically connects to my car and I can just say "Ok Google, play Mika" and Google Play Music automatically starts playing.

Deck also supports Pandora controls so I can launch the app, skip songs, thumbs up/down, and switch stations with the dial.

My car is really the only place I listen to music when I'm not home and I've never been in a situation where I couldn't just stream shit.

I charted my running for months with and without music.

After 4 months or so my performance had basically leveled out and listening to music typically added 20 seconds per mile to my times and notably reduced the effects of a runners high on mental clarity and elevated mood.

Thats just my personal experience but I don't recommend listening to workout music.

The soc is not too well documented (false info and such), and the chinks are not interested in rockbox. Also the issue of various obscure hardware in them.
The port has been going since the FiiO X1 and it's still nowhere near useable.

AMS (maker of the soc used) gave them a hand with the docs iirc. Maybe more, don't really remember.
Ingenic have docs and sample code (a linux port and an rtos), but the docs have errors.
The real reason though is because there is literally one person working on it which is also working on 2 other ports. There is already a unofficial jz port but it was kinda a copy paste hackjob and the guy doesn't want to maintain it so it can't be accepted into official.

I have a question, what would you guys use to tag poorly organized mp3 folders
I have a ton of old torrents from demonoid with good collections of music but they're a hassle to rename and retag, even with batch tools.
Is there anything out there that can tag mp3s by looking at the content of the file? Or any easier way to do this?

I checked the site a bit but looks like none of the devices are video players, just mp3 players, some unstable releases run on mp3 players that also have small screens but still far from a video player.
How comes they haven't ported the system to any video player so far? there's huge potential, small screens are very useful to use in combination with other hardware, from portable consoles to video surveillance, rpi, orange pi or other similar system.

audio players only need basic framebuffer graphics support, video players will require making drivers for far more complex graphics/video decoder hardware
plus video players tend to be more powerful devices in the first place, making something like a linux-based solution more suitable

As for trackers, you can probably find what you're looking for on Rutracker, or if you don't feel like dealing with slavs you can go to /ptg/ and suck someone's peepee for a private tracker invite.

It's way less hassle than BitTorrent I find, especially if you only want one track.
