Since my job life doesn't require any significant amount of processing power, my PCs are basically just toys and for comfortable browsing. I don't actually require a PC for anything I do. Even in your average office, abandoning the desktop or laptop can be more practical. And there are far more efficient devices for media playback and internets at home. The average person doesn't need a PC for anything, it's a comfy toy for roughly half of anons here. When PC gaming is dead, owning a PC will be a pure geek habit.
