why does windows make it literally impossible for one to install it? Does microsoft want more botnet-users or not?? tf is wrong with these cucks.

Is this the daily cuckolding thread? I use Windows 10 Home Edition and my wife just bought me a cock cage. She says that I'm a bad boy and that I don't know my place because I still get hard when I watch Jammal cream in her. I just love being a cuck! No open source software for me! I just love Cortana and Candy Crush. What games do you play OP? Minecraft is my favorite.

Minecraft is great. I uninstalled Candy Crush and murdered Cortana though, they're both shit. The Xbox addon is also garbage, as is Microsoft Edge, so I force-removed them in a similar fashion. Broke my start menu but who gives a shit, Classic Shell is da bomb. Comin' for the telemetry backends next. My OS may be someone else's intellectual property, but I'm still using it on MY terms. Fuck the license, I only even bother with it so I can install the OS at all. After that I don't give a shit.

I did earlier this week. I just grew tired of constantly not being satisfied with Linux as a main desktop OS for the past 2 years. It's great for old hardware, but I just grew tired of all the tweaking. I just want something that works and lets me enjoy the finer things in life. Plus I had no idea how amazing office is. I used OSX before switching to linux and really didn't get to have the full office experience till I bought a PC in January and dualbooted it. It's also nice having all the space on my hard drive now that I am not dual booting. The touch screen and stylus work wonders in comparison to Linux. I still use Debian on my old 32 bit laptop and it's perfect for that. It's just nice to finally get work done. Plus all of my games are on one machine now and I don't have to fuck with wine.
>>
>>60151517
people with brain cells arent going to waste their time building an os for a bunch of 15 year olds
>>
Its my daily driver. A few weird quirks, desktop stops refreshing once in a while, a issue i saw a lot in 7 too. My 2i4 wasn't behaving until I installed beta drivers. Mouse cursor disappears on sleep. However, after a lot of tweaking and using classic shell, the only thing that really bugs me is the desktop not refreshing. It easily fixed with a reboot but it's annoying as hell
>>
>>60151559

>>
>>60151556
Should've just gone with Ubuntu if you wanted to use touchscreen, Unity actually works with multitouch
>>
>>60151591
I wasn't much of a fan of unity, but I really liked Ubuntu. It was the best for touch screen though, but it is still so far behind what Windows can do. Gnome with wayland was the closest I got to being satisfied with it, but it crashed too frequently for me to keep using it. It was also always a nightmare when I let someone use my computer for anything because they didn't know how to use it. Windows just has better support for drivers and the hardware works much smoother as a result.
>>
>>60151680
Hmm, next Ubuntu will default to Gnome shell again as Unity is getting dropped, I imagine they'll wanna polish its stability out completely, maybe keep an eye out for that one.

I myself have long since given up the idea of regularly running Windows, I got so used to the way linux works, bash, apt, etc that Windows just drives me insane.
>>
>>60151271
ik i just wanted to post that
>>
>>60151680
>Windows just has better support for drivers
True but right now only certain "gaming" hardware that requires an user space program or exotic hardware doesn't have linux support so except for optimus setups linux should work well on most computers.
>and the hardware works much smoother as a result.
To be hones i beg to disagree, windows feels bloated by default and you actually need to tweak it a lot or even remove components to make it bearable once you have used linux some time so at least for me i just cannot agree with the smooth part except in one instance: GPU drivers. Yet the difference is now not big enough to justify all the bullshit microsoft tries to push into their users and i'm conscious that most of the time the differences comes mostly from games created with directX is mind while any other API being an afterthought, not even due to a problem with the drivers at least regarding nvidia. At this point i only run windows 7 in a VM for the few programs where i don't have a choice.
>>

I'm not going to disagree with you on debloating windows. It was not a fun experience. Linux is rarely bloated and if it is it's very easy to remove the stuff you don't like and it's dependencies. I should also specify that I do not hate Linux at all. It is great and should be more widely used. I really don't have any gaming hardware though. My laptop struggles with CSGO and I mostly just play minecraft, Old School Runescape, and CSSource. Gaming really wasn't why I switched. It was mostly because I was wasting so much time trying to get my system to perfection. With Windows I just have to put up with the way things are and accept it's out of my reach and just enjoy using my computer rather than constantly fixing it.
>>
>>60152027
>I was wasting so much time trying to get my system to perfection. With Windows I just have to put up with the way things are and accept it's out of my reach and just enjoy using my computer
This is an strange way of thinking (unless you have a reasonably serious case of ADHD) because you could just use the defaults of your distro or DE but if it works for you go on.

>rather than constantly fixing it
Fixing? i must disagree. If any Windows has shit itself a lot more times for me than any user-oriented linux instalation. I can use a linux setup for years always feeling as snappy as the first day but even if i try to be very careful windows becomes noticeably slow after around 6 months. Inb4 someone will accuse me of being "too stupid to use windows", but aren't you guys the ones claiming that is the "just works" OS?. If anyone was going to say that sorry but that's my experience. One of the reasons why i'm currently using linux i i wouldn't come back to windows is because my current linux setup is practically maintenance-free and the same goes for a lot of friends and relatives i formerly needed to "fix their computers" relatively often until i installed them ubuntu (usually a derivative or flavor in fact), after a crash course they're now more happy with it.
>>
>>60152371
I'm not even going to lie I probably fit into the ADHD category you are talking about. Maybe more of an OCD category. Windows just keeps me from constantly tweaking and trying to make things better. Props to you for using linux and not messing with it all the time like I did.
