Arguably the best distro.
>Easy to use
>Easy to install. Virtually plug and play.
>Contains all of the essential fedora-tipping features, like the robust command line
>Customizeable
>Native cinnamon works by default
>Resembles Windows 7
And yet /g/ hates it. Why is that?

Where the hell do you think you are?

Windows experiences nonstop issues and yet you'd probably run back to it in a heart beat.
>>
Linux Mint (Cinnamon) was my first distro.
It probably is the best for newbies. It's basically Ubuntu with Cinnamon.
Using Cinnamon on Arch now. Arch is definitely better but only if you are experienced.

I've been using Debian 9 with i3wm for the past months. I'm using it right now.
The only reason I have Windows 10 is to play shit like Dark Souls 3.

pacman > apt by miles
Up to date packages, in Linux Mint things are kinda out of date (based on Ubuntu LTS).
Doesn't break when you play with things under the hood.

this is so vague - name one example that actually benefited you personally that you claim it's better
>>
>>60145421
Installing Linux on a Kaby Lake system and Arch is like "Yeah, okay, sure" and Mint is like "What is this magic future technology? My kernel does not recognize it! ERROR! ERROR! PANIC!"

Up to date Chromium/Firefox == Netflix support
>inb4 botnet
Many vim plugins break if you don't have newest version of vim and or Python. Ex: YCM
Opening a new TTY in Ubuntu based distros, logging in, and stating a new xserver could break shit, idk why but this was a while ago
Getting printer drivers was a nightmare in LM, just install from AUR in Arch
Software not in official repos is hard to get in Linux Mint / Ubuntu, easy af in Arch (although the AUR is somewhat overrated)
Apt is not enjoyable or intuitive to use, and has horrible documentation (better than yum tho) Pacman has simple documentation and is very intuitive.
When LM or Ubuntu crashes you have no idea where the issue is. When Arch crashes you have an idea of what went wrong because you're always under the hood.

I think the problem is you don't know how to use it
>>
>>60145421
The only feelable difference between distros is package management. pacman is the best there is. apt fucked my dependencies more than once, removing half my packages - how I did it don't have a clue
pretty much what anon says >>60145552
