Name A Better OS Than Net BSD.
Protip: you can't.
>>60141651
I can.
macBSD aka macOS™
I really like windows 10
I indeed can't, OP
it's the true patrician operating system

But to be fair, NetBSD is the best BSD.

OpenBSD
>>60145806
this
it pretty much displaced netbsd completely
OpenBSD

I routinely administer HP-UX servers.
The other two systems are mostly for novelty.

OS/2
how it compare to other bsd's?
>>60151090
they're all equally shit
>>60151090
it's a fucking disaster
>>60151090
NetBSD will run on any hardware you throw at it, but that is the only benefit to the others.
OpenBSD/FreeBSD are both better in every other aspect.
>>60141651
NetBSD doesn't have convenient full disk encryption in the installer.
>>60148411
Microkernels are the future, gramps. Wait for google's ultimate botnet. Now get to writing drivers for the l4 already

Mirage usable yet?
>>60141651
Linux runs on more hardware than NetBSD. NetBSD does have the RUMP kernel though. It's an impressive piece of software engineering. So I'd say NetBSD is the most innovative FLOSS operating system.
As the years go by and distributed computing becomes more and more ubiquitous the RUMP kernel will become more important.
>>60141651
it's like your windows bluescreened to death lol
>>60151810
Ignorant comment/10

I'm too brainlet to set up pkgsrc

Inferior package management system. Nix is the shit
>>60151798
>RUMP kernel
Oh.. we need a TRUMP kernel. Make our OS great again.
>>60153596
what? you tell the installer to install it then you go in the package's folder and type make install
>>60141651
more like not bsd
>>60151175
remember that "run" doesn't mean it's actually usable though, NetBSD maintainers are shit and IIRC most of their thousands of architecture supports are literally just auto-builds that are barely tested and run like shit
