Bootloader unlock and flash kernel patch from recovery. And side loading exploit script to run at boot for devices with locked bootloaders. Look on XDA. If there's no root method for your device on XDA then I wouldn't trust any method of rooting.

I've rooted every phone I've had... till I got the s7 edge

if I root it and trip knox I loose paywave capabilities.

Really missing the adblock, only now realizing what everyone else has had to put up with all these years, apparently there is a way but its hit or miss
