99 dollars per year for 5TB? is this a joke?

I really need to ask, who the fuck needs 5TiB to save office files
>>60136520

You probably shouldn't be storing them on consumer "cloud storage" services like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

this. building a home server was probably the best thing ive done. three 6TB drives in RAID, 12TB usable, Plex, Nextcloud, and wahtever the fuck else i feel like installing
bonus: its running Gentoo

It's meant for a family or a small workplace e hence the 1TiB per person.
Just go with the 6.99 one for personal use.

Companies that need to get shit done, you wouldn't understand since you're a neet.

Companies also need to not friviously waste money on overpriced options.
If you're small enough to not have a server, this still isn't a great option.

Notice where it says "Office 365 Home with"? Yeah, that means that you're also getting subscription access to MS Office -- which is actually superior to single-seat licenses at this point -- in addition to those 5TB.
Also, protip: if you're not an idiot, you can get a year of Office 365 Home for $60, instead of $99.

OneDrive is useful for any kind of file, not just Office documents.

This isn't for companies. This is for households. Those 5TB can only be split between a maximum of five users. How many businesses do you know of that are five or fewer people maximum, and in those cases, do you think each of those five people can fill a terabyte with work data?

The fact that you think this is expensive or frivolous suggests to me that you know absolutely nothing about business needs. If anything, businesses need *more* than what this offers. They'll go for an enterprise Office volume sub.
