Has anyone on this shitty board actually done anything noteworthy or impressive in their technological field? I get this impression that despite all your shitposting and contributions to the graphics card circle jerk, all of you are mediocre code monkeys who work a 9-5 and justify you career choice solely through your yearly income, which you use to buy more consumer electronics, which in turn you post and brag about on /g/.

What would you consider to be noteworthy and impressive?
Generally in science and engineering there is no such thing as the lone solitary genius - Advances are made by many people working as a collective for a long period of time with setbacks and deadlines and the trials and tribulations of being human.
Everyone on this board has contributed their own towards the greater good. No matter how insignificant. Including you, OP - your interest has helped to push computer science that little bit closer.
