I've been using Google DNS for a while but I decided to stop feeding them my data, so now I'm wondering what is a good alternative. I heard OpenDNS went to shit or something, so what do you guys use these days?
just use google DNS like a good little goy

Precisely not if I can avoid it.
Seriously though, does nobody here care about the DNS they use at all?
opendns works for me
dnscrypt has a few good options.
https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/privacy
how is this anything to be concerned about

Because they definitely will comply 100% with what they say the do, right? Especially on a system that has never been, and most likely will never be, properly audited? Oh, (((they))) absolutely don't have a history of violating privacy and basically lying about it.
This may be tinfoil hattery, but if there are good alternatives I don't see why I shouldn't use them.
Will check out dnscrypt.
opendns starting redirecting and blocking again so dropped for a different one.

Find any OpenNIC provider, they have access to shit not even google gives

>allowing some random anon to have access to your personal data
>placing your trust in babby's first server reliably handling all your DNS quieries
>crossing your fingers, hoping they've implemented standard security procedures/infosec/hardening/etc, and that your data won't get pwned by some skid CIA nigger

OpenNIC with dnsmasq local cache so it is not slow as fuck.

Your own
Seriously getting BIND up is really easy. Just get an old computer and throw it in the closet and you're good.
