My W520 lasts about 2-3 hours
And the battery has 50% wear on it

Not baiting but my T420 Battery lasts about 2 hours with 0% brightness and only Chrome open/eclipse

Can I get a new battery somewhere that lasts me 5+ hours?

Probably a 10 year old ThinkPad.

Just get a new battery, fix your suspend issues and optimize the kernel. It will last longer than other laptops if you take 20min to fix it
