Thank fuck it's all over.

I'm still using one in my laptop though. I have no need to upgrade to a botnet CPU.
>>
>>60126045
>pentium 2 with the slot card thingo

young me loved it, same with using jumpers to set voltage and whatnot on the motherboard
>>
my daily computer is a core 2 duo
>>
>>60125961
>tfw still using it

I've been meaning to build a desktop, but thinking about how little I'd gain from it always makes me reconsider. Maybe once this thing dies.

These things run so fucking cold. Everything went to shit after C2D in terms of temperature, unless you use some ultra low power shit, barely able to run a browser.

it's older than P3

>microshit and other large software companies make their programs performance hogs to force you to upgrade your processor to one backdoored by the NSA so they can use your spare CPU cycles or spy on everything you do

those sub 100 dollar core 2 duo boxes on newegg and amazon make amazing pfsense routers. I'll probably wait for it to die to upgrade.

I'm upgrading to dual r710's soon, but not because this 2950's too slow.

its just too hot and power hungry is all. still runs everything i need it to. r710's will be pulling 570 watts instead of 780 watt, and ddr3 instead of ddr2.

The amazing thing is they are still useable today. What came out in 1995? The Pentuim Pro and K5? How many people where still using those in 2006?
>>
>>60126056
isnt core2 duo already botnet?

my x200 allows you to unsubscribe from management engine.

I just upgraded from a core 2 duo to a core 2 quad a few months ago. It worked perfectly fine, but core 2 quads are so cheap now that I couldn't resist.

I had a sempron until 2014. I couldn't even watch muh 10bit animes and had to download deadfish.
>>

>my x200 allows you to unsubscribe from a circuit which cannot be accessed or shut off, and without it running the chip won't work
>>
>>60129535
the Core cpu's are basically optimized pentium 3's anyway
>>
>>60128460
That's because CPUs stalled shortly after core2 duo/quad though. Like in 20 years a 6th gen i5 is still gonna be relevant because it'll just be essentially the same Chip anyways.

Are there 64bit coredual2?

They're all 64-bit.
