Yet again reddit showing their incompetence by crying over a dead alpha kit.

Fact is this kit would be useless for 99% of people, unless you somehow went back to 2000 and grabbed the alpha software for it. While your there you better grab some alpha games too otherwise you'll just be staring at an empty dashboard.

Best thing for it is to either track down a collector and sell it to them, or use the case for a project. This guy did the latter, and successfully baited a bunch of redditcucks while doing it.

An alpha kit that's 1-2 years away from final hardware isn't going to help emulate that final hardware, there's also plenty of final devkits around that you can buy for less than $100, but somehow we still don't have Xbox emulation, I wonder.. could it be that a devkit hardly helps emulation devs at all?

I'm a long time gamer, xbox is the least fondly remembered 6th gen console. The only thing people want to play on xbox when they com over is steel battalion. And that's only because of the controller.
