Not enough space to put dumb LEDs on.

Why doesn't Intel make microwaves?
Stupid question.
>>
>>60116057
Because nvidia has a good enough fame and has the money to hire good engineers and get into the CPU market
>>
>>60116085
All good CPU engineers have already been hired, Nvidia's "CPUs" are hot in-order garbage that was used in 3 products
>>
Does the tegra not count?

They do with the Tegra platform.

They don't make any attempt to break into the x86 market since there is no money in fighting with Intel and AMD is barely struggling.

Their attempts at breaking into the ARM market have been lackluster at best since their designs tend to power hungry without great management. Nobody really gave a honk about the Shield. The Nintendo Switch is its only real commercial winner.

nVidia announced they have they have beefier CPUs in lab, but nobody is going to give a shit unless they offer x86 transcoding like Transmeta CPUs or support their own flavor of UNIX like SGI.
>>
>>60116007
Because they couldnt even make an ARM Cpu without turning it into massive housefire
>>
we did

their masterpiece was the switch pumping out a silky smooth 22 fps
>>
Friendly reminder that in the early 2000's Nvidia tried to acquire a x86 license but was cockblocked by Intel

>Company is good at X
>Why does it not do Y?

Many companies in the history thought that just because they are good at one thing, they would automatically would be good at something similar. Many of them were wrong.

Isn't that comparative advantage or some shit? OP doesn't understand that it's better for them to all-in on GPUs than divert resources to make CPUs that will be shit.
>>
>>60117484
This.
>>60117779
Nobody cares. Nvidia can't even do ARM right.
