So how much of a botnet is this thing?
They don't host the source code anywhere convenient.
More like ZarinOS amirite?

There is only a download for a single commercial version but simultaneously there is a donate link. Why the fuck should I donate for something I already pay?
There is no source code for a Linux distro. Each one consists of the Linux kernel, a package manager which either downloads binary packages or the source code for compiling and then various modifications to the configuration files (which sort of are open source since they are plain text). If you don't trust the binary kernel provided by your distro then you can get the source code from kernel.org and compile it relatively easily yourself. If you want more control over the packages because you don't trust the package maintainers I recommend using LFS because it gives you complete control over that part, you do still have to trust the source code of the packages unless you're willing to audit it yourself. So to answer your question: it's not more botnet than any other distro, it's up to you whether you want to trust the developers or not.
