So according to that article, they want to prove that a wireless mouse can be just as good as a wired one.
Yet at the same time, they released the "tournament edition", a wired version with improved specs, first. GG Razer, GG.

Hey you or a faggot like you used that mouse as the OP for a thread a couple of days ago and since then I've been going back and fourth between it or a g403.
But I don't actually see that mouse for sale anywhere in white. Not even on benq direct. It is listed on their website but that's all.

Why can't there be a mouse with sweet RGB. I want the left click button to turn red when I click.
>>
>>60107070
rival 300 can do that, since you can write your own macros for the rgb
>>
>>60105495
Not going to buy it until I see a proven source that they fixed the click latency.
>>
Haven't shopped for a mouse in like 7 years but my mx518 is dying. Should i just get a new one from ebay? What are the chances it will be a fake?
>>
>>60107085
That's a start, but I'm really just looking for any RGB I can see while actually using the mouse. Otherwise, what's the point? I have the RGB turned off on my g900 for this reason.
>>

I haven't heard of any logitech fakes market... Still quite a few G9x mice on eBay if you're willing to pay.

I'm thinking about buying a Steel Series mouse; particularly the Sensei. What does /g/ think about this mouse, and Steel Series mice in general?
>>
>>60106351
Garbage laser sensor
>>
why do people favor the g400 so much more than the mx518 ? they are essentially the same mouse
>>
>>60107742
The sensors are vastly different. I mean the G5 has the same casing too and the G500 has a better button layout imo but they're both lasers with acceleration you can't turn off.

I bought one off a guy on ebay for 50 bucks. Virtually new and it feels so nice i the hand. It uses a laser sensor, so this new mouse is a joke for competitive FPS. Logitech already perfected the wireless mouse with the G900 anyway. What the fuck is the point of putting a laser sensor into a gaming mouse? What advantage does a laser sensor have? It's already well established that tracking on laser is unreliable compared to optical, so I don't get the point

Why the fuck won't Steelseries just release the Sensei with an upgraded sensor? It's easily the best shape I've ever used and it's nice to have thumb buttons on both sides but the sensor blows dick. I've got the Nixeus Revel which is the best alternative I've found so far but the mouse wheel click double clicks sometimes which is annoying when browsing the web and opening new tabs.
>>
>>60105128
My school has a few of these, most use them without knowing their power level, should I make a sneaky swap with another mouse?
>>
>>60111132
Mine does too but I don't think they're the "good" model unless there is only one model. After using it I'm not a fan of the small "button" area for left and right click but the shape is really nice. I see how they became a bit of a cult classic back in the day before the gaymen marketing meme dominated the world.
>>60110926
This is nice, I'll be looking into it.

Still about to pull the trigger on the white zowie. They look so comfy
>>
The Rival 300 and Sensei are nearly the same price on the Steelseries site. Which one should I go for?
>>
>>60111371
Why are you only considering steelseries? How much are they?
imo the g402 is one of the best values if you can get past the aesthetic. It has a nearly identical shape to the zowie ec line and g403.
>>
>>60111394

Honestly I want to start using one brand for peripherals and just stick with it. I like the steel series aesthetics. I'll check the g402 out.

I am currently using a Roccat Savu and I am for the most part satisfied.
However, the mousewheel is kinda iffy. Sometimes it doesn't fully recognize the scroll and scrolls in the other direction, resulting in random jumps.
Before that I had a Logitech *500, can't remember the exact model, but it had a mousewheel that could not only be scrolled, but also tilted. I eventually replaced it with the Roccat because the mousewheel went to shit.
Now the same seems to happen to the Roccat.

My question is: Is there any mouse with a sturdy mousewheel that can last at least five years without becoming loose or faulty or anything? I have never had a problem with buttons or sensors or anything, just the mousewheel. I don't care about gamer bullshit and dpi and whatsoever. Thumb buttons are nice to have, but if the complete package is good I can go without them.

My Mouse of like 12 years is flaking out on me, and I'm looking at moving on to something else.

Anyone have a mouse they can recommend with:
>$30-$50
>wired
>claw grip (medium large hands, 9.5x19 cm)
>decent sensor
>no excessive buttons (e.g. number pads where the thumb should be)
>no stupid fucking LEDs
>heavier than average /adjustable weight

>best mouse to come out of razer?
If it's not complete garbage with a mouse-wheel that breaks with in a month then yes, it's probably their best mouse so far.

>>60105792
>prove that a wireless mouse can be just as good as a wired one
Well, it can't. It's that simple. A wired mouse has a power cord attached to it. A wireless mouse has some kind of battery solution. Doesn't matter if it's regular AA or AAA batteries or a rechargeable battery inside it, batteries need to be replaced or recharged regularly.

I've had a wireless mouse and keyboard combo. Used it for years before I just got fed up with either the mouse or the keyboard failing at inconvenient times.

>>60107168
>Should i just get a new one from ebay?
Yes, absolutely. Consider this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gaming-Mouse/201862103650

I initially bought this as a gift for my nephew. Tried it, now I prefer it over both the Logitech and the Microsoft mice I have. I realize it may sound a bit odd that I think this really cheap epray mouse is better than a $80 Logitech mouse but this is the one I am (ab)using right now and the Logitech and Microsoft mice are in my box-of-mice.
>>
>>60132992
>I've had a wireless mouse and keyboard combo. Used it for years before I just got fed up with either the mouse or the keyboard failing at inconvenient times.
Then you haven't had a good wireless mouse, my G403 wireless I guarantee has lower latency, better tracking and is more reliable than your wired one photo'd.

It has a 32 hour battery life and it's not hard for me to plug it in to charge every 3rd or 4th night before I go to bed, in the case that it gets low on battery I can leave it for 10mins charging and get it back up to 40% which will last 12 or so hours and easily cover me until I go to bed.
>>
>>60133033
>it's not hard for me to plug it in to charge every 3rd or 4th night

Don't care that you don't think it's "hard". I don't have to deal with this problem and I don't have to when I use a wired mouse.

I don't rule out wireless mice because charging them is such hard work. I don't want to get interrupted from time to time because the battery is low and don't want to have to do regular maintenance (=charging) of yet another thing. A wired mouse just works.
>>
>>60133144
You know when you plug it in it becomes a wired mouse, right? You can still use it, it's not like one of those stupid dock designs or the port being on the bottom of the mouse like the Apple ones.

I don't know about you buy cable drag is far too inconvenient and buying or making a bungee for the cable is ugly looking on my desk.

Hey guys I need some advice.

I have a spare 54 euro to spend on a mouse. What one would you guys recommend for something up to that price?

This is what I have been using for the last year:

is a good option if that's like, all you have in your bank account, but you have to be absolutely 100% sure you can deal with the shape, I hated it myself. Don't buy it without going to a physical store and getting a feel of it(or a G Pro)

bought this rebranded chink mmo mouse from The Source (canadian radio shack) because it was on sale for $50 and I need a mouse that day and also I wanted to try out an mmo mouse. I didn't even consider that the software might be total fucking garbage but it's actually pretty good and mouse is surprisingly high quality also. I don't regret my purchase at all but I wouldn't gamble on another off-brand mouse unless I needed one "right now" again... probably get a g600 if/when this one dies

hey, I posted that deathadder picture I was in the same boat as you and wanted to go wireless for a while, I got a logitech g900 for $80 on a sale at amazon and while it is a really nice mouse you cannot beat deathadder at ergonomics

the wireless is nice to have but I'm definitely going to back to the deathadder, maybe the new elite version

I bought one a few weeks ago. Definitely not a meme. I cannot tell the difference between the chaos spectrum wired and wireless, I feel no lag whatsoever either way. I've owned wireless mice before and I could feel the lag. Whatever they did with the chaos spectrum, they did it right. I think it's the best gaming mouse on the planet right now tbqh famalam.

The alternative wired/wireless mode is nice because it doubles as charging (no need for batteries) and the mouse has a "backup" if wireless performance were to ever suffer.

I'm basically in your situation right now, except for me it's all the programmable buttons that failed at once.

You could always get another 700s. Personally I think I'm going to get a G502; whenever I use wireless, I'll settle for an M325 I had lying around. Maybe I'll get something better later, but it's not like I game when using wireless or anything.

If you use wireless more G602 is a good choice; it's got a bunch of buttons too, but the scroll wheel is much shittier.

>>
>>60150604
Nope, G602 is wireless-only.

If you want a hybrid one, your choices are 403, 700s, or 900. 403 only has like 3 buttons, 900 has a very meme design with three buttons per side because muh ambidextrous (and costs a fucking fortune), which leaves the 700s.
>>
>>60150676
What about wired only? I never use my g700s wirelessly
>>
>>60150712
Then basically everything except I think the 602.

So like I said, I'd recommend taking a look at 502, or you can always get another 700s - it's a good mouse, after all. The 502 has a better sensor, but that's where its advantages end.

Orrr you could switch things up and find a G600. It's an MMO mouse, a darn good one too, which means that you have 12 buttons to map to random shit (switch tabs, switch windows, mute mic/speakers, copy/paste/whatever). Entirely your preference though.

Driverless, great ergo, very light, perfect sensor, big scroll wheel for 'bind mwheeldown +jump' and hard to accidentally hit dpi switch

That mouse. I think hat's one of the fakes. Yeah I know, knock off of a cheep chink gaming mouse.
You want the Chaozifeng VIP mouse. Modle:A50
I've brought 5 of these now.
First was the chao. Two others (7 button) cheep fakes that were poorly constructed(miss placed under label and faulty wheel). and another two that I think are Chao. But feel a bit off.
But are not marked with a maker just Model G-509
Both of the Chao types I have are "FOR THE GAME" On the mid strip, CZF on the right click and "CZF boutique Gaming Mouse" on the left.
The non chao marked, possibly 'real' also have thicker pads.

The fakes would have been fine if they weren't fuckups. I payed $16AUD for the two, and got $8 back instead of shipping them.
The real ones were a bit more pricy. 30odd for two.
>>
>>60159204
Oh and the possible real ones don't have anywhere near as much resistance on the wheel. And a shiny sticker underneath, than the matte one on the better quality 'real' one.
Could be due to buying 2400dpi, rather than the 5500spi original.
There's an absolute cluster fuck of these mice.

g403 is godlike, if you liked the grip just go for it, most people tend to dislike it for palm cause it's not as big as some zowies/da

Tried it for about two years in college. Got tired of the ball slowing down and cleaning lint accumulating on the contact points.

Unless you literally don't have space for a mouse and pad, trackballs are a meme.

It's nearly identical in shape to the zowie ec2. I'd probably go with the logitech because I know for a fact their warranty and customer service are really good and it has a very slightly better sensor. I also think the side buttons on the g403 are better than zowie's and I use them a ton

>ducky making mice

What is this world
>>
I'm considering getting a g203 or g303. Are these mice good, and are there any notable differences between them, other than the shape? Which is considered better here?
>>
>>60162935
G203 uses Logi's own Mercury sensor instead of PixArt's 3360 series. However, in practice both sensors are near-identical. You'll also have an easier time finding the G203 since the G303 has been discontinued.

Just ordered a G303 for €50 inc. shipping.

Big mistake. Not only the G203 has a better sensor but the form is more natural. Have you tried the g303 in your hand before?

Also got my g203 for 20 euros on a sale, so way cheaper than the g303

I'd literally buy two g403's, that's a fucking steal.
>>

I like the look of the shape of the g303. I have quite small hands and it looks like the smaller model.

>more natural
I hope this meme dies.

Yeah, sure, it's less contoured, but that doesn't mean it will be more comfortable for everyone. I couldn't find a comfortable, secure way to hold it no matter how hard I tried.

I have a deathadder chroma, not the new elite one or whatever, it works fine for now but I tried the zowie EV1 at the store and that shit felt great. Worthy upgrade or should I wait until the razer is fucking up.

Bought the Logitech G Pro. Had the Zowie ec1-a before. The rubber surface started breaking down after using it for more than a year.
The G Pro has a nice plastic surface that can't be scratched with your own nail for example. It's also smaller and lighter and feels nice in the hand even though it's not an "ergo" mouse, but ambidextrous.
Also really liking the lighter cllicks and the scroll wheel.

>>60107682
Nothing wrong with this mouse in general, but the hardware has a 4-8% mouse acceleration that you can't turn off. Also if you look at the above picture, the silver coating will start to peel off after a year or two. Last downside is that the software crashes when you are changing or creating a profile and you have to reinstall it.

the new ones are fucking terrible
