Sup /g/
So it seems like it is getting to the point where my old rig is lagging behind, i wanna do a little bit of an upgrade but i am not sure what would be a good leap forward.
Currently i am running an
AMD A8-5600K APU Processor
GTX 660 GPU
16 gb of Corsair Ram
a 750 EVGA Modular PSU
all crammed in a ASUS F2A85-M mobo
I kinda wanna upgrade to a newer generation AMD Graphics Card and give my processor an upgrade as well but i dont know what my mobo can support. Any suggestions?

you need a new motherboard if you want a decent cpu
>>60095844
Athlon X4 is your best choice but basically it's all shit. Just get a new PC.

So what would be a good suggestion if i wanted to grab a new mobo, processor and GPU that would be an upgrade on the power supply i got?

Fuck this asshole, your psu is plenty powerfull.
Save some money and get a 4790k that way you can still use your ram
>>60095844
just get a new intel/nvidia prebuilt
Get a R5 1600, B350, RX570, Some 3000mhz ram

this desu, I have an RX470 and I've been really happy with it
>>60095844
Waitâ„¢ for Vega if you want a high end card.
>>60096158
Any idea what the price point on that is gonna be?
>>60095844
Well you could possibly just stick in an rx570 but your CPU is a pirce of junk.
You need a whole new PC.
You can save your drives, your PSU and your case.

Best GPU i've ever bought in terms of performance / price. It works like a charm.

No one knows yet but since it's launching in Q2, the wait's only going to be 1-2 months now. However, you should expect them to be something like $400 and above.

Why would i need to replace my ram as well? And i am pretty much planning on replacing the mobo, processor and GPU, maybe get an extra case if one catches my eye.

If you're going to be buying a new CPU which will require a new mobo you should go ahead and buy a DDR4 mobo.
No only are DDR4 mobos cheaper on the lower end but also I noticed significant performance increases when I made the set up.

Top Vega will be around $600-650
Cut down will probably be around $500

This, OP.
also the ryzen AM4 socket may last you a long time

In two years DDR5 will be standard. You will need a new socket then.
