Sweet, in early this time. Just took a pic

Also just got my R1 Ultimate back installed since I got my AM4 brackets. May overclock here soon.

Shit keeps the CPU sensor at ambient +21-22ish degrees. (Actually 1-2 above ambient since Ryzen has the stupid offset of 20)

Might aswell get a new graphics card now and toss it in now while keeping it for your next build
>>
>>60074506
I wanted to ask, will the slot itself slow down my graphic card?
Now there is 3.0 my mb still has 2.0 It is compatible but idk about the max bandwidth
>>
>>60074549
A PCIE 2.0 16x slot should not bottleneck even a 1080 TI so you should be fine. If your going to SLI with PCIE 2.0 8x that might be an issue but I don't think your going to do that
>>
>>60074606
Thank you,I believe sli/crossfire is still not worth it because of lack of support and other issues with technology itself.
It is not exactly cheap too,so you are very right. It is still probably good for multi monitor setup that I can not really afford tho .
>>
>>60074188

It's
>>60073086
here

My fractal R2 XL is a great case that meets all but the price point of your wants. It's quite a bit more now, but a very well built case..

I have my second drive bay that can hold 4 more drives removed for airflow. I can fit up to 7 140mm fans, if I put one in every slot and the side panel.

I bought a window panel from Puget Systems but they do not come with one stock. Only light is the power LED. Case was designed for silence first then airflow. Not a good water cooling case though imo if you plan to do that. I bought mine in 2012 and it's still in great shape, and still relevant.

Lack of support is a meme from 2010 and the technology issues are another meme as well
two way SLI is still very much supported and has virtually zero issues, hence why Nvidia even made a HB bridge because they still actively support multi-GPU just not past two
>>
>>60074696
>Muh stickers
lmao are you 12
>>
>>60074686
Yeah SLI/crossfire is pretty much garbage now and these days its just not worth it there just isn't a lot of games that scale well

>>60074706
Just because Nvidia still supports it doesn't mean its not garbage for 99% of games.
>>
>>60074725
>your opinion on this entirely subjective matter is objectively wrong

Turns out it wasn't the mobo that was busted, it was the pump after all.

I got my spare 120mm kelvin cooler mounted.

Time to wait too many days to get a reply for the warranty.

I noticed that the single 120mm radiator is much more sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Compared to the 360mm radiator.

Whether I get a new 360 radiator or the money back, I might change to a smaller case and use a regular air cooler for a much more silent system.

Is there any LED color combination that looks good (or at least is not vomit-inducing) with Noctua fans?

Took my 980 Ti out of the loop for the 1080 Tis, hose was just barely too short so I had to use a shit ton of fucked up fittings, but it works.

I'll add a 140mm rad to the back when I add the GPUs to the loop, the rad is 1-2mm too long so I need to chop the case in some way.

It's a parallel flow through both GPU's and the CPU block. Water comes in on the lower right side, and flows through all three blocks at the same time, then eventually combines at the bottom left GPU outlet.

Indeed I am. Don't have a picture of the back right now, but here's a picture of the back of a generic Define Nano S.

I just have a 2.5" SSD and a 2.5" HDD next to each other behind the motherboard, though. 3.5" HDDs are too loud. There's also a tray for a storage drive in the front, between the PSU and the fans at the front.

>>60091762
is it recommended to do so or is it for aesthetic purposes? I kind of want to do them but I don't think I have enough clearance to do so with my shinobi case and I feel it might get scratch way easier that way
>>
>>60091830
The Nano S has some extra space at the back as well as mounts for the drives. I don't know if you'll be able to fit anything behind the motherboard tray of your Shinobi, but you could always get creative and try.

does that require a pressurised system to ensure each component is getting coolant running through it?

not him, parallel gives less of a pressure drop at each component (GPUs at least) and gives better temps overall fromwhat i've read.

soldered 10ohm resisters to the fans, helps a bit.

its not my ears that i have to worry about but my gf's, i like the white noise
>>
>>60103648
Isn't there some kind of thermal fan control available? I thought even noisy rack servers included stuff like that and wouldn't spin their fans any faster than the temp sensors say they need to go. I vaguely remember some anon with rack gear saying it wasn't loud at all if it was idling, it only imitated a jet engine under load.
>>
>>60103746

the r710 does but even idle noise is pretty bad without fan replacement/mods
>>
>>60093525
Is there any performance impact from not using the 1st slot for the GPU?
>>
planning my next build at the moment
waiting for vega and the taichi to be in stock
I'm having trouble deciding on a case, should I go with the Fractal r5 or the Phanteks p400s
>>
>>60105966
Not him but it depends on the mobo. Some are able to run either slot at x16 if only one slot is used, some will only run the top slot at x16. Even then the difference between x16 and x8 isn't large in most cases.

Just build a system in the P400s and like it a lot. The Define R5 looks nice besides the excessive amount of drive bays. Only reason I wouldnt get it.
>>
>>60106004
I own a P400s and love it. I don't think you'd regret it'
