What is the best thermal paste currently?
>>60066915
mayo
You're mom's pussy juice.
>>60066968
No, you're dad's nut juice.
NT-H1
Thermal grizzly kryonaut
Whatever cryorig's best stuff is called CP-5 or something
>>60066915
I don't know but the noctua stuff that came with the cooler is good, so I'm happy
semen
>>60066915
Thermal paste and glue is a scam
daily remainder that thermal paste increases cpu erosion and forces you to upgrade cpu more frequently
toothpaste
>>60067050
Fuck you nigger I was gonna say that
powdered white rhino horn mixed with tasmanian tiger semen.
>>60066915
Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
If you want liquid metal TIM then Gelid GC Extreme or Thermal grizzly conductonaut I think it's called
>>60067103
Go blow your brains out.
I used the MX-2.
What do you think /g/-chan?
IC diamond
I use mx-4, it's pretty good, use it with a 6600k overclocked to 4.4ghz with a cryorig h7 and hardly go above 60c
I use my 4-5 year old Noctua NT-H1 paste with muh 5Ghz 7700k and it just werks.
cummies
>>60067250
Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut
I delidded my 6700K last week, used kryonaut on the die and on the IHS.
Using a Noctua NH-D15 on fixed 700RPM, memory OC'd to 3000Mhz, getting a max of 60C with prime95 small fft maximum heat test, 52C maximum with usual maximum load (aida64, intel XTU), while being almost completely silent.
It will OC like a beast when needed after some years.
>>60067525
sorry not meant for you, but almost relevant.
Wet Cement
MX-4.
NT-H1.
Gelid GC-extreme did wonders for my Pascal GPU
>>60067525
What kind of an OC do you have?
nothing but the best for me
Since when are edibles technolo/g/y?
>>60067050
True, but for best results you should eat only red meat for at least a week beforehand
>>60067525
Why no Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut inside?
Why don`t they just solder the cooler to the cpu? That would solve the paste problem.
>>60068902
But that means we'll be stuck with the puny stock.
>>60068922
>puny stock
That`s only cuz you`re asian.
>>60068938
So you're satisfied with Asian?
>>60068949
wut?
>>60068977
wut
>>60066915
Just use your cum. It's been proven to be just as effective as any paste on the market and costs nothing.
>>60066915
a thin layer of molten silver to solder the CPU to the cooler
gorilla glue
>>60066915
I use mx-4. Non conductive, no burn in time, good for gpu/cpu.
According to this, they all perform about the same. I got Tuniq TX-4 only because it's rumoured to last longer than other thermal pastes.
Thermal Grizzly is the best, a particular version is for desktop use between 30 and 140W but I forget which.
Is there any reason to not run Gallium liquid metal on your CPU and GPU?
>>60070981
You don't want anything that will conduct electricity as TIM unless you're soldering it. A drop spills outside and your motherboard and/or cpu is kaput.
>>60070903
>almost 15C of difference between worst and best
>about the same
>>60066915
The answer will always be this product
>>60071048
Sorry, should have said "most" not "all". My bad.
>>60071048
fluid metal requires diy work and voids cpu warranty and the hottest one is clearly an outlier making it about 8c at worse and more like 4c on average, never mind that these sorts of tests are rarely repeatable and usually have a decent margin of error
on top of that I know they're not following the instructions for each individual thermal paste because artic silver recommend a month curing time to get best results while a lot of other pastes are good to go as soon as they're applied
see pic related, the artic pastes (like artic mx-4) usually do better than artic silver 5 but there's a handful of these benchmarks where as5 comes out on top
>>60066915
I use Arctic MX-4. Took my cooler off after almost two years the other day and the stuff was still wet. The shitty thermal paste I used in my old build completely dried out.
>>60067100
not enough
>>60067231
mx2 is very good
you'll need some soft paks my dudes
Doesn't really matter to be honest, I mean why the fuck would you care if your CPU is 4-5° hotter than with the meme overpriced stuff? Just take the cheapest you find.
>>60071448
>>60071213
I dont know if I want to put toothpaste on my cpu, even if it does work.
Technically the objective best is Gelid IC diamond but I use MX4 cuz its cheaper and still top tier
>>60071110
Yup.
>>60071110
Ewww no kill yourself
>>60066915
Used mayo on the last two builds and 1 upgrade. No problems so far but not an overclocker or even bother with non-stock fans even. Temps all good so far.
>>60074060
Upgrade to cum. You'll thank yourself later. It's cheaper and keeps things cooler than mayo.
>>60074028
What's wrong with it? It's what I used in a bunch of stuff. It's always worked well and hasn't needed replacing yet. You just have to avoid applying it the Apple way because it is conductive.
>>60069655
ooh baby, that would be so nice
>>60067103
yea damn it'll only last 10 years instead of 11
I sure won't replace in that time frame
>>60076397
This.
Mayo you have to buy. Cum grows on trees ;^)
>>60076776
Plus, you have a ready made excuse.
>fapping to PC parts, dad walks in
>son I am disappoint
>dad wait I can explain
>pull up chart showing cum's superior cooling power
>and it's also cheaper
>dad congratulates me for being clever and saving money
the one coming with noctua d15 good?
>>60077415
it's all the same lol
literally within the margin of error testing thermals both with and without thermal compound applied between the two
>he believes those bullshit graphs
top kek. another kuk gets swindled again
Hellman's™ Mayonnaise
Arctic Silver Ceramique
Why use thermal grease when cum exists? It's literally free (as in freedom)
>>60066915
Semen. It's what big thermal doesn't want you to know.
>>60066915
I have the exact same one as in your OP pic, not sure if it's any good or not. Been using my PC for 3 days just fine. I don't obsess over temps really. If the fan is going apeshit I'd be worried, but it hasn't done that.
Touch a hot stove with your finger, it hot right?, now smear cpu paste on your finger and touch it again, not so hot this time huh? thermal paste literally does the opposite of what they say it does

This
Can vouch for the MX-4. When installing my aftermarket cooler i forgot to take the sticker at the base of the copper pipes where it makes contact with the processor and the paste. Still didn't pass 65 degrees in load. Since it's been fixed it rarely goes over 40 in load. i5-6402P user.
>>60066915
Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. Best paste I've ever used.
>>60066915
