Companies tend to make their own sub-pixel panels like that, just to avoid paying royalties for some other folks patent or some shit.
They all look the same in the end, so it doesn't matter.

Some camera and projectors use RGBW (RGB+White), I can understand that for increased luminosity, but RGB+Yellow is beyond retarded
