Chink grinder review!

Ordered the grinder on the 7th of April, and it arrived today. (Monday, April the 24th)
Quality is not bad at all, it's pretty good. The teeth are sharp, and the top attaches with a magnet.
It has 4 pieces, which is cool! Even brings a little tool for the kief catcher.
Only con is that the grinder is a bit small, but I knew that before buying it.
Overall for $4 it's an excellent deal, I recommend it.

finally got my ROCK Zircons. took 2 weeks from ordering until it arrived at my country, then another 2 weeks to get from the airport to my home (a distance of about 18 km). paid only €1.27 for them using advanced anniversary sale coupon chinkery.

gonna compare them to my trusty Piston 3, also pictured. build quality seems equally nice, the non-braided part of the cable seems to be a bit thinner than on the Pistons. I've been using the Pistons for 1.5 years now and they're still going strong, only the cable is a bit frayed at the plug. I hope the Zircons will last a comparable amount of time. I prefer the L-shaped plug of the Zircons, but the remote only has one button, so unfortunately no volume control there, as opposed to the Pistons. The fit of the Zircons seems better, more comfy, the housing is also more compact but I haven't done a long term test yet. Isolation is better of course, the Pistons got a semi-open back design.
When it comes to sound it's really hard to declare a winner. The Zircons are louder than the Pistons and have more bass. When it comes to bassy music, the Zircons are a clear winner. For other kinds of music they seem to be equally well suited, at least to my ears.

I'll probably keep using the Pistons, because I like to have volume control on the remote and the worse isolation is actually a bonus when moving through the city, I'm less likely to get run over. Gonna use the Zircons if I desire more Isolation. Let's see how long until the fraying of the wire on the Pistons becomes worse and they die, the Zircons will be a great replacement.

Why don't the Chinese believe in quality? These chinks could sell high-quality alternatives at 50-75% the price of the original with fairly hefty margins, yet they generally choose to make total shit and sell it for 5-10% of the price of the original with relatively thin margins. Why is this?

Reposting (?) my RAM purchase.

I bought 4x4 GB DDR2 800MHz RAM. It's extremely hard to find, and it was for a cheap price too.

First I got a dead stick. They wanted me to clean it even though there was clearly no connection issue. After some back-and-forth and a longass time for the item to arrive, I receive a replacement.

The replacement works. But now, running all four at 800 MHz fails memtest. Running them one at a time passes. Lowering to 667 MHz runs them just fine. I have 16 GB of ram now, though, at least, so I can have 500 tabs of anime porn open at once.

A "balanced" connection is using two signal wires, with one often one having an inverter polarity with respect to the ground. Each channel uses 3 conductors (normal, inverted signal and ground) per channel (2 3-pin XLRs or TRS jacks for stereo for example)

What audiofools call "balanced headphone connection" isn't that, it's just snakeoil with no measurable or perceptual advantages.

You do realize that Wikipedia page is talking about balanced connections between line level components right (e.g. a CD deck and a mixing console)? line-level components with active circuitry have preamp circuitry that takes advantage of balanced connections and rejects noise (that came from a cable run through a studio passing by electrically noisy TV monitors or high-current power cables).

Headphones or passive speakers have no preamps. They couldn't take advantage of balanced signals in the first place. Furthermore, that headphone cable only has 4 conductors, so it can't even carry stereo balanced signals that requires 6 conductors (2 x twisted pairs with a shield around them connected to ground).
