What grand innovations has Apple made in the last few years?

They have just been making their devices thinner. Popularising fingerprint readers in phones was the last sort of big thing they did that caught on and that was 4 years ago.

The emoji bar on their laptops is laughable.
In fact they've made a lot of backwards steps with their laptops considering all the port retardation and that horrible shallow keyboard.

Even fanboys on their forums are starting to whine.

I'm super happy with it. I wish Windows phones had more robust software applications, because I fucking loved my Lumia 1020 and I feel like a total kike with my iPhone.

Microsoft puts more of their monopoly money into research despite having only 35% the revenue of Apple.
