I would do it if the price is "really cheap".

To give you a rough idea, passmark (not the best way to measure things) gives you a score of about 6000 for the 7890k and 9000 for the FX 8350 so it IS faster.

The TDP difference is 95W vs 125W so that is a big drawback because it means more noise.

That crossfire between the IGP and a R7 250 gives you a so low performance difference it can barely be measured compared to modern cards so that's not even a factor.

I'm not sure what "really cheap" here means, though. I wouldn't pay a lot of money for this upgrade but I would buy it if it was really really cheap.

oh ok thanks, The only reason I bought this over the 8350 is that I had a r7 250 anyway.
I think I Just save the money and see just how far I can bottleneck this with a new GPU.
Maybe vega or a used 980ti
