I remember that story.
Someone bought an i7 920 from newegg, kept everything, then made a replica box with a fake CPU and a plastic heatsink with a sticker of a fan on it and sent it back.
Apparently newegg didn't realize it and refunded the guy the money, and even sent the fake CPU to someone else who bought a new 920 lol
