Why do American companies hire so many Pajeets? Is there any way to slow down Indian hires somehow? Do you think software might improve in quality once Indian influence is gone?

According to a study by employ-ability assessment company Aspiring Minds, only 4.77 per cent candidates can write the correct logic for a programme — a minimum requirement for any programming job.Over 36,000 engineering students from IT related branches of over 500 colleges took Automata — a Machine Learning based assessment of software development skills — and over 2/3 could not even write code that compiles. The study further noted that while more than 60 per cent candidates cannot even write code that compiles, only 1.4 per cent can write functionally correct and efficient code.

Those h1bs are usually left to dry by their sponsoring company. See, you're allowed to not pay socal security or benefits on h1b workers until they've been working for you at least 4 years, then companies just fire them because they suddenly become as expensive as an entry-level domestic worker. They get extorted into paying more money by their sponsoring company or else they'll tie up their paperwork and not renew their h1b visa, marking them for deportation.
There's no job growth or investment to train quality software workers, it's all about money, and h1bs only get hired because some fresh faced MBA fuck with a spreadsheet said that they're marginally cheaper than a domestic worker in the short term.
It's a literal pump and dump of the software industry.

Let me tell you why this is the case. In India, a guy can either be a doctor or an engineer. These are the only two options presented to them. They decide to be engineer because A) Engineering is cheaper to study. B) There are fuckton of engineering colleges handing out degree certificates for as little as $4000 for the entire 4 year degree. C) The outsourcing market provides jobs to these untalented engineers and as there is a hires/applicants ratio of 1 in 10000, they're easy to replace.

Now coming back to your question on why is the code quality shit. It's because the Indian outsourcing companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc get contracts on a fixed bid. Say for example TCS gets a contract for $1M for a 4 year contract from the client X. Now client Z does not give a shit on how TCS does its job or how many of its employees TCS puts on the job. Client X just wants results and TCS gives them the results by simply applying brute force of hundreds of unskilled programmers hoping something would stick. If not, then there are thousands other waiting to do the job. It's sheer power of numbers
