just buy a thinkpad and shut up
they come 900p which is almost 1080p for all you care and it has an empty wwan slot which you can install a msata ssd and boot off. You can rip out the HDD if youre annoyed by heat and noise. The models I recommend usually come in 8gb or 4gb but if you wanna be a ramlet you can also buy 2gb of DDR3.

I'd recommend a T420 or T430 for reasonable cpu or T410 for muh 16:10
