What was the best year for tech?

When The Year of the Linux Desktop arrives.

2005 was the best year for the Internet. That was the year when all the best websites took off and made the Internet worth coming to (Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia), but the normie cancer was still minimal.

Otherwise, 1996/7 was the best year for gaymen. Look at the graphics of Half-Life and games like that, and compare them to the graphics from games just a couple of years earlier. 3D acceleration changed everything.

When the browser takes over and there is no more need for a true OS it will be the year of the Linux desktop, because at that point all the shit that makes it suck (Linux as a whole) will be covered by more competent programmers.
