Now that Mint dropped some third party crapware is it worth to use?

I remember lots of third party apps with lot of conflicting and licensing issues also is it safe now? did they fix the security problems with the kernel?

Why would you use it if it has a such reputation like that? Just switch to another distro and apply Cinnamon if you are one of those winfag converts.

Peppermint is better

the problem is not reputation. Mint was pretty stable but it had third party codecs and confusing/not 100% safe kernel update support. The good thing about Mint is being able to upgrade from older release to a major release without having to do a clean install.

No, Mint will never be worth to use. No derivative of Ubuntu (derivative of Debian) is going to do it better than the previous one.
