LG stock keyboard. I used to like gboard but it's getting more and more "features" with every update so I ditched it.
>>
Used to have "cracked" SwiftKey for the longest time, so I could have the nice looking themes for it for free.
Yesteday I noticed that the themes are now all free, so I switched to the latest SK Beta version. Way faster (cracked version was lagging my whole phone up), and looks nice, too. Also way more responsive. Pretty happy with it.

Long time I was using Multiling. Now switched to GBoard, as Multiling bacame too much bloated.
The biggest problem is with text completion which does not work for my language in AOSP, I have to rely on external dictionaries.

Is the apk somewhere to download from cm / lineageos? I like the keyboard and it sucks that I can't download it from fdroid.
>>
>>60001385
From personal use and light online research it seems like it could happen but it recognizes password fields and does not send that data. Nor does it have any predictions for those fields. It's actually nice how apparent not having the predictions is because when it does appear on a password field it's immediately suspicious. Lastly, it doesn't store large numbers by default.

I would doubt it's any less secure than using a google keyboard with predictions

gboard's botnetted auto complete results are too good

It's actually breddy good if you ignore the built-in Google keylogger
>>
If you use any closed source/proprietary keyboard, be it gboard, Swype, Swiftkey or anything else, you should fucking neck yourself. You've willingly installed a keylogger. I'm happy just using AOSP keyboard. I would like a swiping keyboard, but AFAIK there aren't any open source ones.

I wanted a Priv. Such a pity they can't be rooted. If you don't have the ability to gain root access/an unlocked bootloader on your device, you literally don't own it.

Living without root isn't so bad anymore, DNS66 does pretty good against most ads. The real pity with the Priv is the lacking build quality, dodgy software performance, and price tag. Really hoping the KeyOne is solid, should be considering TCL's other phones have been pretty decent.
