You can even get the latest versions of VLC media player and a older version of adobe flash to work on windows 98 with Kernelex.
Audacity and FileZilla worked for a while too, But now they use a newer version of .Net or something and crash instantly. I Believe you can install java as well too, I just wish the project was more mantained. The most recent versions are all fan patches, and even those are only released every few months to a year at a time.
