How much does installing a copy of Botnet 10 on a separate SSD jeopardise my security?
I sadly need to use some Windows only programs (not by my joice) and would like the speed boost of an extra Windows partition over Windows running in a VM.
Are there any preventive measures other than encrypting my Linux partitions?

Yes, its fine.
windows doesn't undsrstand ext4 in the first place and for its self updates, it cant force boot into windows if its not the default boot option.

Ah sucks, thats a pretty good program. They have ported Maya, why don't they do the same for Cad..
disable the pagefile in Windows10 (it is the Windows version of the SWAP on file)..... or else when you reboot from linux to Windows, you'll get the content of the RAM dumped over there over a NTFS file (possibly including your linux-encrypted files in plaintext...)
I suggest you never to reboot from linux to windows, but to poweroff 1st and wait several minutes before booting into windows.
