Finally built my leet gaymer pc. I'm trying to install Windows from USB to a hard drive. Every time, I boot from the USB, format the HDD, and choose the unallocated space for install. The setup manager copies all of the files in a few seconds, then moves on to the "Getting files ready for installation". Each time I've tried, it gets to a seemingly random percent and just hangs. The highest I've gotten is 70%. The cursor is still movable, but the installer just chills at that percent with no error message. The fuck am I doing wrong? Have any of you encountered this before?
All help is greatly appreciated, I'm just scratching my head over this one.

Have you tried this fix:
install gentoo?
It suppose to fix all windows issues.

I'll make a gentle install after I get windows running. I have a spare drive for it.

Nah, mate, ditch windows, if you need something like office, use wine or VM.
Forget windows, it is irrelevant if you're not tech illiterate.

Don't know about your machine etc. but I couldn't get windows to install or it would install and then wouldn't boot well or at all. I had a mint live cd so I ran that to look for solutions. I ended up installing mint and then I loaded virtaul box and installed my windows on that. Since moved on from mint but still running windows virtually when needed and haven't had any problems since. Bit of a learning curve for linux but it wasn't too hard. Good luck anon.
