If you really want to go full autismo, don't install arch. It's basically binary gentoo with none of the autismo benefits.
A good starter distro is probably any ubuntu flavor, fedora, debian, or mint.

This. It's Noob friendly enough but you might still have to delve into .conf files for one reason or another. If you want to get into the nuts and bolts a little more without going full autist, Lubuntu is a good go. No native menu editor so learning about the .desktop file is a must.
