I'm having this annoying problem with my new ASUS laptop
>Windows 10
>ASUS GL553VE-DS74
>Installed latest ASUS Precission touchpad driver
>Windows 10 detects touchpad as the default HiD Mouse in Device Manager and installs said generic driver
>Uninstalling that shitty driver does nothing, because Windows simply reinstalls it and says it's the best driver for my device
>Touchpad icon doesn't appear in the system tray
>Fn+F9 doesn't activate/deactivate touchpad
>ROG Gaming Center tells me it can toggle touchpad, but nothing is actually happening
Nobody on the internet seems to have a solution for this. What should I do? Has anyone ever got an ASUS touchpad working?
Inb4 uninstall Windows 10

Yes hello, this IS 4chan Personal Customer Supportâ„¢. Have you tried turning it on and off?
Ironically I'm going through the same problem in a different Asus laptop.
I just disabled windows 10 driver auto update.
And took a break. I'll be back with more information.

I have a G75VW and since Win10 the keyboard backlight hasn't worked except on boot.
Such is life.

This fixed my issue. Kind of.
Disable the windows driver auto update.
Download the Asus live updated.
Search for the latest driver update. Hint: It's not under the device section you're looking for.
Download the driver.
Uninstall the older programs and drivers like touchpad gestures.
Install then run asus live update.
Reboot When prompted.
Install the driver. Reboot when prompted for each driver.
