>Going to buy a mechanical keyboard and need advice!!
Looking at possibly a Corsair K70, and I can't decide if I should get the Red or Brown version. I don't have anywhere to test out the feel either.
I'm a programmer and a gamer, and I'd probably be using the keyboard for 50% gaming (mix of fps and rpgs), 25% programming, and 25% surfing the internet/random regular usage stuff.
I'm leaning towards the cherry red keys, since i've read they are quick for gaming and feel nice in general, but i'm worried that it'll feel a little too slick when I'm lurking the internets or coding something.
It'll be my first mechanical keyboard. Anyone have advice or reccomendations?

Reds are a questionable beginner's mechanical keyboard. They will indeed feel (relatively) much smoother than a standard keyboard, but you're gonna miss out the great tactile/clicky feedback that most people gush about when they're starting off, and thus underwhelmed.
