What's the best available atm? Or inexpensive and that I can buy as not a company. I'd like to avoid pajeetware.

>Solidworks
Is there a free version?
>>59943427
There is a trial version but you have to fill out a bunch of bollocks.
>>59943474
Man I really don't want to have to pirate shit...
>>59943498
Last time I checked a annual solidworks 2016 license costed around £2000, I doubt they'd ever get money out of you anyway.
>>59943498
What do you need it for anyway?
>>59943620
Just to fuck around with some projects and some 3d printing stuff.
>>59943366
Probably abandonware by now.
>>59943638
Ah then there shouldn't be any real problem with using a pirated version.
I seriously doubt anyone would come after you if you're not the one distributing the program or using it for professional company work.

if you're looking for open source, freecad is almost good. it's a pseudo-solidworks sort of thing, quite usable. openscad is supposed to be good as well, but it's more of a "programmer's modeler" than strictly a cad program. if you're just looking to not pay, fusion360 from autodesk is pretty amazing. it's gratis for hobby use, or if your business earns under (i think) 100k/yr
AUTODESK INVENTOR PRO 2017. It's free if you're a "student" so basically all you do is enter a bullshit name when it ask for one. Its a free five year licence. Ive been using inventor for years, by far the best free shit ive ever used
