when sites mess with back and (more often) with scrolling (often just the space bar, but sometimes they fuck with everything), i tend to just close the tab. if i see more of it in the coming year, i might take to finding the contact info of someone at the site and just emailing something like "your site breaks scrolling which is incredibly obnoxious, so i stopped browsing it. just an FYI".

site operators are looking for ways to increase the number of eyeballs on their sites and keep them there longer. if someone ever emailed me to tell me precisely why they stopped browsing one of my sites, of course i'd fucking act on it. i have google analytics and all that shit for that specific purpose.

This happened to an employer. Someone wrote a message about how horrible their website's search engine was because it required two input boxes keywords and geographic location to conduct a search. This was made even worse by the fact that a geographic location would not even register unless it was selected from a Google location autocomplete dropdown plugin, and no other way, even if you typed it exactly the way that the plugin provided. Also mentioned were several other features that other sites had or got right that were either missing or broken on this one. The writer said that they were never going to visit the site again because the experience was so bad.

So what does the employer do in response? They publish the writer's message publicly with the simple tip that, in order to search, both boxes need to be filled out.

if [[ "${DESKTOP_SESSION}" == "gnome" ]]; then
tmpfile="$(mktemp --suffix='.png' -p /dev/shm/)"
gnome-screenshot --area --file="${tmpfile}"
pinta "${tmpfile}"
rm -f "${tmpfile}"

1. Because ads normally need to be served from an ad provider's domain using their javascript, which is what adblockers block, while anti-adblock scripts are served locally.
2. And because if they did show an ad, the relevant adblock lists would add a rule to block it.

>Compresses it but twitter sure as hell makes it LOOK more shit
>No webm support yet
I fucking hate every site that does this shit. Yes saving a compressed copy of the image is better for server related shit but maybe some folks think this is bullshit
>>
>>59920541
Because in some cases it can be useful. People always find ways to abuse any feature and they ruin it for everyone else.
>>
>>59912815
And now the resolution is shit.
>>
>>59914188
No, what you said earlier is no one does these things. You were provided an example of someone doing them.

I am quite certain that you haven't.

This would have been like 10 years ago, and it was very easily circumvented, but it can be done with javascript very easily.

something like
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() {
$(window).keyup(function(e){
if(e.keyCode == 44){
$("body").hide();
}

}); });
</script>

but ya as I said it was extremely easy to work around (ie, just select another window and prnt-scrn that with the one you actually want still visible)

no, he's right. it's not possible. javascript can't hijack an operating system control like that.

Fucking autists making mime type lists.
Also, this happens always with the spacebar preview window in OS X Finder. C source code? Fuck you, if it doesn't end in .txt, no preview for you!

If you're talking about instagram, you can get the original resolution image by going to one of those other instagram viewers and copying the image address. I'll use this as an example http://www.pictaram.com/media/1494929003038370069_455481934

Copy the image address, it comes out as

http://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s750x750/sh0.08/e35/18011510_1755198291421827_4979806965287878656_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTQ5NDkyOTAwMzAzODM3MDA2OQ%3D%3D.2

Delete everything between the t51 part and the image id, and the stuff at the end, now it looks like

http://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/18011510_1755198291421827_4979806965287878656_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTQ5NDkyOTAwMzAzODM3MDA2OQ%3D%3D.2

I was going to say you also need to delete the stuff after ".jpg" and change the "_n" to "_o" but it seems to work just by deleting the first stuff. Hit enter and it loads a bigger version of the same image and you can masturbate to higher resolution tits

>>

Run twitter in mobile mode. Right clicking now works, you no longer need an account to view explicit content, and all videos can be saved.
>>
>all these "just screenshot it" replies
/g/ is finished. so long and good luck.
>>
>want to download porn vid

No amount of programming will make me feel this 1337. All their efforts are futile under my cheeto fingers.

>>
>>59913128
A couple of weeks ago at a thrift store, I found a 300GB PATA hard drive that had PDFs of a few years of someone's income taxes, and his wife's too. He was a Turbo Tax pleb, I use H&R Block's because they're #2 in that market, so they have a reason to suck less.

Like I cared, it was the 250GB of FLACs that was the real score. A few were even 24/96.
>>
>>59935966
View the source code, ctrl+F ".mp4". Click on the link and then save the video. Other websites (pornhub I think?) write the link into the source code using javascript to prevent guests dowloading.

Open the browser's js console, copy the code there and you got the link in a variable.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
