Brave is the only good option for Android. Can't recommend it for x86 systems just yet, because it's still balls deep in beta and needs a little polishing.
For desktop I recommend Ungoogled Chromium if you're concerned over the botnet, or maybe Firefox 52.0 with all the appropriate addons installed (52.1+ starts breaking shit). IMO, you should install a couple browsers for different use cases. For everyday cat videos and online accounts--just use standard Chromium. For potentially sensitive/private data that doesn't require Tor, use Firefox.
With all that being said, I would trust regular ole Chromium more than any fork/browser available. Security wise- it's far more hardened than any out right now... and it's the quickest to patch vulnerabilities by far. There's constantly optimizations being made, the code is audited/scrutinized more than just about anything, and the dev team has no shortage of the most talented programmers in the world.
It all entirely depends on your use case desu.
