There are far worse CPUs than an Ivy i3. You're not going to be doing any sort of gaming on anything released this side of 2006 at anything other than Low on the integrated graphics, but the CPU will do for nearly any task.
>>59903220
better than my Core2Duo
You have a ~3ghz quadcore, ~3 gig of ram, ~1.5 gig video card or integrated?, not sure why 32 bit windows
The new i3's are only dual-cores though huh?
or without hyperthreading which is practically same-diff

>i3
>quad core
is this real?
I think it's practically an i5 in modern terms
>>59903402
because he has less than 4 gigs of ram. 64bit windows will be worthless for him

What do you do with it?

He should still switch over in case he upgrades. Better to get it over with.
Should also upgrade to Windows 10 while there's still a path to get it free. (It's still free with the "accessibility" route, right?)

What am I supposed to see? That the i3 has half the cores and about 60% of the i5 performance at best?
>>59903606
>upgrade to windows 10
don't do this OP, i never seen anyone who succeeded in upgrading from 7 to 10 on a laptop. If you insist on going to the botnet though just do it through a clean install.

Add more RAM and you're good to me.
